Nature-Art

At Irvine Nature Center, we believe in expressing the beauty that can be found in the natural world through the visual arts.   We infuse this art into some of our programs and special events.  And we use art to teach children characteristics of natural world critters through the study of these animals’ physical attributes and their expression on canvas.

We also create opportunities for local artists to exhibit their Nature Art at our facility.  We invite your local artistic community to consider an exhibit at Irvine. Solo exhibitions rotate every three to four weeks in the public corridor of the Nature Center. Artwork in the public corridor is accepted on a rolling basis.  In addition to these monthly rotating shows, group exhibitions are held in the Fern Room from December through March.  Irvine Nature Center retains a 20% commission on work sold, which directly supports our art and environmental education programs
